If Enagic® does not use harsh chemicals to clean the harvested turmeric, what do they use instead? Two specialty waters produced by Enagic's own ionizing machines. Strong Acidic Water is a hygienic rinse that sanitizes the surface without bleach or chlorine. The turmeric is cleansed using water alone, so nothing but pure root reaches the capsule.
